Keto-A Vet (Ketoprofen) is indicated for
Cattle
Treatment of lameness of traumatic origin, fractures, tendonitis etc. Management of post-surgical pain, relieving chronic pain (e.g., arthritis etc.) and for the symptomatic treatment of fever (e.g. ephemeral fever, FMD etc.). Reducing pyrexia and distress associated with bacterial respiratory disease when used in conjunction with antimicrobial therapy. Reducing oedema of the udder associated with calving. Improving the recovery rate in acute clinical mastitis, including acute endotoxin mastitis, caused by gram negative bacteria in conjunction with antimicrobial therapy. Supportive treatment of parturient paresis (Milk Fever) associated with calving.
Horse
Alleviation of inflammation and pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders. Alleviation of visceral pain associated with colic.
Injection
Cattle
For deep intramuscular or intravenous use.
1 ml/33 kg body weight (3 mg/kg body weight) once daily for 3 days.
Horse
For musculoskeletal disorder:
1ml/45kg body weight (2.2 mg /kg) by intravenous injection once daily for 3 to 5 days.
For equine colic:
1ml/45kg body weight (2.2 mg/kg) by intravenous injection. A second injection may be given if colic recurs.
Bolus
Cattle: 1 bolus per 100 kg body weight (4 mg/kg) orally daily for upto 3 days.
Or As directed by the Veterinary physician.
Injection: Each ml contains Ketoprofen BP 100 mg.
Bolus: Each bolus contains Ketoprofen BP 400 mg.
